Many organisations worldwide, to this day, use legacy software. developed for IBM’S Mainframes, Digital’s VAX etc. This is due to prohibitive costs of redevelopment of the existing software.

On account of fast emerging state-of-the-art technologies and limited number of opportunities in legacy technologies, new software professionals do not prefer to work on legacy technologies. As a consequence, manpower to maintain and enhance legacy systems is scarce.

ACL can help the overseas company in this regard. It can constitute groups that can maintain and enhance old legacy software.

The number of persons required to work on any specific job will be mutually agreed upon. For rendering these services, overseas company pays to ACL on manhour basis.

This is the most typical Time and Material Model. Alternatively, it can be viewed as offshore Dedicated Development Centre established by ACL for the overseas company.

Typically, such Dedicated centers are for medium to long term duration, say 5 to 10years or even longer.
